v7n.com Webmaster Community Website Up For Sale
Published by Stephen | Filed under Websites For Sale
v7n.com is up for sale on Site Point. The massive webmaster community website has been online since February 2004 and currently attracts 3,000,000 page views per month across the main domain and all sub domains. If you are interested, it can be yours for a minimum bid of $400,000 or you can buy it now for $500,000.
The site includes the following - forums, web directory, affiliate program, host ratings, script directory, seo blog, survey, graphics tutorials, a job marketplace, tech blog, SEO insight newsletter and a contextual links section.
As for income, V7 answer a question on the for sale page thus:
PayPal receipts:
Nov: 12,349.05
Dec: 39,246.70
Jan: 27,660.40Those do not include 2checkout, Adsense, or direct wire transfers. 2CO usually isn’t more than a couple thousand, Adsense is minimal, and wire transfers haven’t been too much these days.
Last year the revenue topped $40,000 per month for the most part, until I was diverted by my studies. Without any marketing, I’d expect the revenue to drop to $10,000 or so per month. If you actively market the ad space, it can be filled. Up until Fall of last year we had 9 spots filled at $700 per month. But it does require some active marketing of the ad space.
Directory submissions are the best kind of revenue. Very nice script there.
Contextual Links is managed by a staffer here in Tokyo, just one guy at this point. We used to do a lot more Contextual business, but just let the marketing drop off due to staffing difficulty.
The reason for selling the ste:
I’m selling because I’m pursuing a degree and need to be 100% focussed on my studies to make any progress. With v7n, I really find myself unable to commit the time an concentration to my studies. It’s been a great community, with some of the finest people I know, but I just feel it’s time to move on.
Good luck fellah!
