IncrediMail Gets Banned By Google AdSense

I was a little bit late noticing this post at TechCrunch, but I read with interest how Google banned a big player from their AdSense program even though the website must have been generating a lot of income for Google. It caused IncrediMail’s stock price to fall through the floor and emphasied the importance for companies to seek multiple revenue streams for their business. The exact reason for the closure of IncrediMail’s AdSense account has not been disclosed by either party but speculation is hinting at click fraud.
A further post has been made today stating that the two companies are now in talks to resolve any compliance issues there may be.
This is certainly a story worth watching and a lesson to all website publishers. Whatever the reason for the ban is I think it is important to note that Google is prepared to take a hit income wise in order to maintain standards.
