Make money creating or displaying video content with Revver
Published by Stephen | Filed under Content, Make Money, Video
Revver is similar to YouTube, but you can make money with Revver. This applies to video creators and also to people who display Revver videos on their website, blogs or even in emails.
Revver describes itself as…”a video-sharing platform built the way the internet really works. We support the free and unlimited sharing of media. Our unique technology tracks and monetizes videos as they spread virally across the web, so no matter where your creativity travels, you benefit.”
We have been using Revver for several months now. We haven’t made a great deal of money from it, but being a member has enabled us to display video content on our sites, which has enhanced the end user experience and was the original reason we signed up. Making some money from the videos was an added bonus. The income has been fairly low so far, but as we add more videos we are hoping the income the videos generate will increase. I doubt we will be able to afford a holiday home in the sun using the revenue we earn from Revver, but as said earlier; that is not the reason we are using it.
If you create videos and upload them to Revver, Revver will split the income generated by your video with you by a ratio of 50/50. This seems pretty fair as it allows potential film makers to get on with being creative whilst Revver get on with the marketing and hosting. The more people who see your video, the more your are likely to make.
If you would like to display Revver videos on your website you will need to register. You will then be paid a small percentage of ad revenue each time a user clicks on an advert embedded in a video that has been watched through your account. You can include Revver videos in websites, blogs or emails.
There is even a Revver API so you can create a website similar to Revver to allow even more people to share videos.
In conclusion, we think Revver is great for supplying video content but you won’t make a great deal of money unless you host thousands of videos and get tons of traffic.
